 Simvastatin 20 mg Film-coated Tablets
 
What Simvastatin is used for:
Simvastatin is a medicine used to lower levels of total cholesterol, “bad” cholesterol (LDL cholesterol), and fatty substances called triglycerides in the blood.
In addition, Simvastatin raises levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL cholesterol).
Simvastatin is a member of the class of medicines called statins.
Do not use Simvastatin:
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to simvastatin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine 
if you currently have liver problems,
if you are pregnant or breast-feeding,
if you are taking medicine(s) with one or more than one of the following active ingredients:
itraconazole, ketoconazole, posaconazole, or voriconazole (used to treat fungal infections),
erythromycin, clarithromycin, or telithromycin (used to treat infections),
HIV protease inhibitors such as indinavir, nelfinavir, ritonavir, and saquinavir (HIV protease inhibitors are used for HIV infections),
boceprevir or telaprevir (used to treat hepatitis C virus infection),
nefazodone (used to treat depression),
cobicistat,
gemfibrozil (used to lower cholesterol),
ciclosporin (used in organ transplant patients),
danazol (a man-made hormone used to treat endometriosis, a condition in which the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus).
if you are taking or have taken, in the last 7 days, a medicine called fusidic acid (a medicine for bacterial infection) orally or by injection. The combination of fusidic acid and Simvastatin can lead to serious muscle problems (rhabdomyolysis).
Do not take more than 40 mg Simvastatin if you are taking lomitapide (used to treat a serious and rare genetic cholesterol condition).

لماذا يستخدم سيمفاستاتين:    
سيمفاستاتين هو دواء يستخدم لخفض مستويات الكوليسترول الكلي والكوليسترول الضار  والمواد الدهنية التي تسمى الدهون الثلاثية في الدم.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، يرفع سيمفاستاتين مستويات الكوليسترول "الجيد" (كوليسترول). سيمفاستاتين هو عضو في فئة الأدوية المسماة الستاتين.
لا تستخدم سيمفاستاتين:    
إذا كنت تعاني من حساسية (شديدة الحساسية) لسيمفاستاتين أو أي من المكونات الأخرى لهذا الدواء
إذا كنت تعاني حاليًا من مشاكل في الكبد ،
إذا كنت حاملاً أو مرضعة ،
إذا كنت تتناول دواء (أدوية) مع واحد أو أكثر من المكونات النشطة التالية:
إيتراكونازول ، كيتوكونازول ، بوساكونازول ، أو فوريكونازول (يستعمل لعلاج الالتهابات الفطرية).
إريثروميسين ، كلاريثروميسين ، تيليثروميسين (يستعمل لعلاج الالتهابات).
مثبطات إنزيم البروتياز لفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية مثل إندينافير ، نلفينافير ، ريتونافير ، وساكوينافير (تستخدم مثبطات إنزيم البروتياز لفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية في حالات العدوى بفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية).
بوسيبريفير أو تيلابريفير (يستعمل لعلاج عدوى فيروس التهاب الكبد سي).
نيفازودون (يستعمل لعلاج الإكتئاب).
كوبيسيستات
جمفبروزيل (يستخدم لخفض الكوليسترول) ،
سيكلوسبورين (المستخدم في مرضى زراعة الأعضاء).
دانازول (هرمون من صنع الإنسان يستخدم لعلاج الانتباذ البطاني الرحمي ، وهي حالة تنمو فيها بطانة الرحم خارج الرحم).
إذا كنت تتناول أو تناولت ، في آخر 7 أيام ، دواء يسمى حمض الفوسيديك (دواء للعدوى البكتيرية) عن طريق الفم أو عن طريق الحقن. يمكن أن يؤدي الجمع بين حمض الفوسيديك والسيمفاستاتين إلى مشاكل عضلية خطيرة (انحلال الربيدات).
لا تأخذ أكثر من 40 ملغ من سيمفاستاتين إذا كنت تتناول لوميتابيد (يستخدم لعلاج حالة الكوليسترول الوراثي الخطيرة والنادرة).
