Factors affecting measurement accuracy: 1. nail polish (especially dark color) should be removed completely or measured with fingers without nail polish. 2. If the hand temperature is low or the peripheral circulation is poor, it should be rubbed and heated before measuring. 3. In a strong light environment, the probe should be shielded to avoid direct sunlight. 4. If the hands shake or move, they should remain still and can be placed on a table to stabilize the arms.
Notice: Patients with severe finger trauma, edema or deformity are prohibited from using it. Patients with carbon monoxide poisoning (whose oximeters cannot detect carboxyhemoglobin) are prohibited from using it. Children need to use specialized pediatric probes, while adult probes may have errors due to size discrepancies.
