What GYNO-PEVARYL is and what it is used for
GYNO-PEVARYL is an antifungal (antifungal medicine) for vaginal or dermal administration.
GYNO-PEVARYL 50, GYNO-PEVARYL 150, vaginal suppositories and GYNO-PEVARYL 150 Combipack, vaginal suppositories and cream are intended for adult women and girls from 16 years of age. They contain econazole nitrate, an imidazole-type substance effective against yeast, fungal and some bacterial infections.
Econazole nitrate suppresses and stops the growth of yeasts and fungi, which can cause diseases of the female genital tract (external genitalia and vagina) and inflammation of the acorn foreskin in men.
USE :
Adults: One pessary should be inserted high into the vagina each evening for three consecutive days. Pregnant women should thoroughly wash their hands before self-administering Gyno-Pevaryl 150 mg vaginal pessaries.

INDICATIONS (summary)

CONTRAINDICATIONS (summary)
This medication should not be used if you are allergic to imidazole .

Econazolum nitrate suppresses and stops propagation of yeasts and fungi which may cause female genital diseases. The active substance gets slightly absorbed in the blood circulation.
