What Mebendazole is used for
 
Mebendazole tablets are used to treat worm infections of the gut such as:
• threadworms (pinworms)
• other common worm infections (such as whipworm, roundworm, hookworm)
Do not take Mebendazole if
• You are allergic to anything in Mebendazole tablets
• You are pregnant
 
Warnings and precautions
 
• Mebendazole should not be given to children are under 2 years of age
• Mebendazole should only be given to younger children if your doctor has specifically prescribed it. Your doctor will decide whether it is suitable for your child. You must follow the doctor’s instructions carefully.
Possible side effects
These include stomach pain, stomach discomfort, diarrhea, wind and feeling sick (nausea) or being sick (vomiting).
 
Other medicines and Mebendazole
 
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking:
• Metronidazole - for certain infections
• Cimetidine - for excess stomach acidity.
 
How to take Mebendazole
 
• Take this medicine by mouth
• The dose will depend on which type of worm you have
• Crush the tablet before giving it to your child. Always supervise a child if they are taking this medicine
• Chew the tablets or swallow them whole
• You do not need to use a laxative or change your diet
 
Adults and children over 2 years old
 
For threadworms (pinworms):
• one tablet: a single tablet will kill threadworms. Your doctor may tell you to take a second tablet after two weeks in case of re-infection.
For other common worm infections:
• one tablet two times a day (morning and evening) for three consecutive days or as directed by your doctor.
How to store Mebendazole
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
• Do not use Mebendazole tablets after the expiry date which is stated on the label. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month
• There are no special storage conditions
• Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. These measures will help protect the environment.

ميبيندازول هو أحد مجموعة الأدوية المسماة "طارد للديدان".
تستخدم أقراص ميبيندازول لعلاج التهابات الأمعاء الديدية مثل:
• الديدان الخيطية (الدودة الدبوسية)
• عدوى الديدان الشائعة الأخرى (مثل الدودة السوطية والدودة الأسطوانية والديدان الخطافية)
 
لا تتناول ميبندازول إذا
 
• لديك حساسية على أي شيء في أقراص ميبندازول
• انتى حامل
 
المحاذير والإحتياطات
 
لا تستخدم هذا الدواء إذا كان أي مما سبق ينطبق عليك. إذا لم تكن متأكدًا، تحدث إلى طبيبك أو الصيدلي قبل استخدامه.
• لا ينبغي إعطاء ميبيندازول للأطفال دون سن الثانية
• لا ينبغي إعطاء ميبيندازول إلا للأطفال الأصغر سنًا إذا وصفه طبيبك تحديدًا. سيقرر طبيبك ما إذا كان مناسبًا لطفلك. يجب عليك اتباع تعليمات الطبيب بدقة.
الآثار الجانبية المحتملة لميبيندازول
 
أخبر طبيبك أو الصيدلي إذا لاحظت أيًا من الآثار الجانبية التالية:
 
• آلام في المعدة
• غير مألوف
• انزعاج في المعدة
• إسهال
• ريح
• الشعور بالغثيان (الغثيان) أو المرض (القيء).
 
أدوية الأخرى والميبيندازول
 
أخبر طبيبك أو الصيدلي بشكل خاص إذا كنت تتناول:
• ميترونيدازول - لعلاج بعض أنواع العدوى
• سيميتيدين - للحموضة الزائدة في المعدة.
 
كيفية تناول ميبيندازول
 
• تناول هذا الدواء عن طريق الفم
• ستعتمد الجرعة على نوع الدودة التي لديك
• اسحق القرص قبل إعطائه لطفلك. قم دائمًا بالإشراف على الطفل إذا كان يتناول هذا الدواء
• امضغ الأقراص أو ابتلعها كاملة
• لا تحتاج إلى استخدام ملين أو تغيير نظامك الغذائي
 
البالغين والأطفال فوق 2 سنة
 
للديدان الخيطية (الدودة الدبوسية):
• قرص واحد: قرص واحد يقتل الديدان الخيطية. قد يخبرك طبيبك بتناول قرص ثاني بعد أسبوعين في حالة عودة العدوى.
لالتهابات الديدان الشائعة الأخرى:
• قرص واحد مرتين يومياً (صباحاً ومساءً) لمدة ثلاثة أيام متتالية أو حسب توجيهات الطبيب.
كيفية تخزين ميبيندازول
احفظ هذا الدواء بعيدًا عن أنظار ومتناول أيدي الأطفال.
• لا تستخدم أقراص ميبيندازول بعد تاريخ انتهاء الصلاحية المدون على الملصق. يشير تاريخ انتهاء الصلاحية إلى اليوم الأخير من نفس الشهر
• لا توجد شروط تخزين خاصة
• لا ينبغي التخلص من الأدوية عن طريق مياه الصرف الصحي أو النفايات المنزلية. ستساعد هذه الإجراءات في حماية البيئة.
